BECKY KING · SENIOR PRODUCT + BRAND DESIGNER
I turn complex brand & product problems into human-centered digital experiences.
From scalable design systems to rapid Claude Code-powered prototyping, I bridge the gap between foundational strategy and final UI execution.

FEATURED WORK
From foundational brands to functional products.
The problem changes. The throughline is making complicated things clearer, more useful, and more human.

AI: CONCEPT TO BUILD
Matchbook
A book review with a five-star average tells you what everyone thought, including the people who were never going to like the book. Matchbook works more like a friend with similar taste: describe a mood or a craving, get a real suggestion. I built the whole thing myself, from the idea through deployment, in Figma and Claude Code over about two weeks. Read more +

AI: CONCEPT TO BUILD
Matchbook
Matchbook is a self-directed AI book discovery app I took from idea to working product. I wanted to explore what book recommendations could feel like if they were more personal, conversational, and a little less transactional, so I built the experience around helping people find their next read through mood, taste, and context rather than endless browsing.
I handled the full process from concept through launch, including product thinking, UX, visual design, prototyping, development, API integration, and deployment. I used Claude on the backend and AI-assisted tools throughout the build, which let me move quickly from rough idea to a functioning 0→1 product.
With this workflow, I handle the brand and design work. AI helps me extend the system and get it into a working prototype accurately.
What I did: Product concept, UX/UI, visual design, AI-assisted prototyping and development, API integration, deployment.
BRAND SYSTEMS + DIGITAL
NOCD
Brand-system development and creative direction for a growing behavioral health company. Built to make complex care feel clear, human, and hopeful. I led the refresh and left behind a system that the marketing, product, and clinical teams could run without a designer in the room.

Impact Boards
NOCD's clinician dashboard tracked session hours and completion rates and ignored morale, leaving therapists feeling like metric pushers. I prioritized recognition over metrics and rewrote the system copy to sound human instead of like a progress report.

DIGITAL LAUNCH
Noto
A new behavioral health venture whose entire pitch lived in a long strategy document. The goal: to persuade investors in four pages. I was the sole designer, from logo and brand system through UX and the infographics, carrying the most challenging parts of the argument. Read more +

DIGITAL LAUNCH
Noto
Noto was a ground-up brand and digital launch for an early-stage company, where I was the sole designer responsible for creating the visual language from scratch. Working directly with the founder and a marketing strategist/copywriter, I developed the logo, color palette, typography, broader brand system, and translated that identity into the website experience. The company's thesis lived in a long strategy document, and the site had to make it land with investors over four webpage. A large part of the work was information design: turning dense strategic thinking into infographics someone could follow without the document in front of them.
I also led the UX/UI and built an AI-assisted interactive prototype in Figma Make to help the team align on the experience before development. From there, I worked closely with developers through implementation, art direction, and QA to carry the brand into the final site. The other half of the job was holding the direction steady: sorting competing feedback, explaining the thinking behind decisions, and keeping the work moving instead of restarting it.
What I did: Brand identity, logo, visual system, UX/UI, AI-assisted prototyping in Figma Make, website art direction, developer collaboration, QA.
BRAND IDENTITY
Fallow
The founders of a closed-loop food delivery startup needed a name as much as an identity. I worked with a copywriting partner to find one: Fallow, the practice of letting depleted land rest so it can regenerate. A service that promises fresh, nutritious food has to feel trustworthy before it feels cleve. The system stays quiet and lets the name carry the idea.
